| Pathtrace Announces SpaceBall and SpaceMouse Support for EdgeCAM version 7.5 Reading, UK January 8th 2003 - Pathtrace, developer of EdgeCAM® computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software for programming CNC controls, announced today support for the products from 3Dconnexion (a Logitech Company), the leading developer of 3D motion controllers. Support for the 3Dconnexion SpaceBall® and SpaceMouse® 3D motion controllers will be included with EdgeCAM 7.5 released this month, providing EdgeCAM users with improved view and model manipulation tools. 3Dconnexion's controllers are used in a two-handed fashion in conjunction with a standard mouse. The combination of two input devices helps users to position and manipulate objects in 3D space much more efficiently than possible with just a mouse alone and features such as zooming, panning, and rotating models are all significantly more realistic.
