Google Earth 4.1 for Macintosh Supports 3Dconnexion SpaceNavigator

3D Mouse Delivers Enhanced 3D Experience to Mac Community

SAN JOSE, Calif. – May 9, 2007 – 3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, today announced its line of 3D mice are now supported by Goolge Earth for Mac version 4.1. Using SpaceNavigator, the Mac community can now experience superior navigation control in Google Earth with the ability for more fluid and intuitive soaring around the globe and zooming in on any location, offering an enhanced 3D experience that cannot be attained with a mouse and keyboard alone. In addition, SpaceNavigator also enables an increased ability to visualize graphics and content in Google Earth.

SpaceNavigator is used in conjunction with the mouse and keyboard and is held in the alternate hand to navigate 3D worlds as well as simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D objects.

  • The SpaceNavigator PE (personal edition) device has a suggested retail price of $59. The personal edition license supports non-commercial use of the device and offers online technical support only. The SpaceNavigator SE (standard edition) device has a suggested retail price of $99. The standard edition license comes with an unrestricted user's license and two years of full support (Web, e-mail and phone). Upgrades from SpaceNavigator PE to SpaceNavigator SE licenses are $40 and are available online at www.3dconnexion.com.
  • The SpaceNavigator device currently works with Google Earth on Windows® 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista™, and now Mac OS X 10.4.6, and is available through major online resellers, including Amazon and CDW; a network of value added resellers; and directly from 3Dconnexion at www.3dconnexion.com.
